I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate practicing in my home state of North Carolina. I obtained my Bachelor in Social work (BSW) and Masters in Social Work (MSW) from The University of North Carolina Charlotte. I have over five years of experience in the field of social work in various roles focusing on clinical interventions with diverse populations of individuals and families. My interest for working with young adults began while providing clinical services in a local non-profit specializing in assisting adolescents with complex mental health and backgrounds transition to college. Young adulthood is a time of transformation and newfound independence. I am passionate in working with this population throughout the successes and challenges that come with the journey.
I have continued to grow my area of expertise and held comprehensive roles focusing on assisting individuals working towards coping with life disruptions and adjustments. I have experience in Mecklenburg County providing intensive therapy and crisis services to the parents of adolescents working through mental health and behavioral health challenges. I have considerable experience working in community settings with non-traditional families and parents of adopted children. My areas of focus include challenges associated with depression, anxiety, attachment, self-esteem, grief, trauma, parenting stress, and career stress.
